I’m sure that you’re familiar with the Law of Attraction. Right? It’s a concept that’s gained huge attention over the years. But today, I’d like to shed light on an aspect of it that tends to fly under the radar.

So, let me start with this …

The general idea behind the Law of Attraction is that you attract what you want or what you think about most of the time. Some also say that you attract what you focus on most of the time or something similar.

But essentially, you don’t attract what you want or what you think about most of the time. You don’t even attract what you focus on most of the time.

The fact is that YOU ATTRACT WHAT YOU ARE – and that makes a big difference.

Let me clarify what I mean by that…

You know, James Alen, one of the pioneers in the Law of Attraction field, more than 120 years ago, wrote in his book As A Man Thinketh, and I quote:

“Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are.”

In the same book, he wrote:

“The soul attracts that which it secretly harbors; that which it loves, and also that which it fears.”

But why am I actually mentioning this?

Many believe that they can change their reality by simply changing their thoughts. They focus on visualization, positive thinking, and creating a vision board that helps them manifest their desires.

But after the initial excitement, they soon find that their reality remains unchanged, and they are back where they started.

And because of that, many become disappointed and begin to doubt the whole thing. And what’s even worse, they give up their dreams because they lose motivation.

So let me tell you this…

We attract what we are all the time. The Law of Attraction works, even if you’ve never heard of it.

But here is the crucial point: the thoughts you consciously think are only a small part of your whole self. They’re only a small part of who you are. To put it more simply, the thoughts you are aware of in your mind make up only a tiny part of your overall energy field. And if your energy field is full of clutter, distorted energetic patterns, energy blockages, and more, it prevents the quality of energy you need for your desired outcome from flowing through you, no matter how much you focus on that outcome.


You know, you’re constantly exchanging energy with the world around you. Your external experiences mirror what you send out. And the quality of the energy you send out depends on what you can freely allow to flow through you.

When I talk about this or similar topics, I like to refer to Sanaya Roman’s quote:

“The Universal mind can create for you, only that what it can create through you.”

The same author says, and I quote:

“People who have abundance, loving relationships, and happiness are not more deserving or better than you. They simply allow more good things into their life.”

And that’s why I like to say, in the context of TT Mindfulness, that WE ATTRACT WHAT WE ALLOW TO FLOW THROUGH US. And that refers to both something we want and something we don’t want to experience.


There’s a line from my favorite book, A Course in Miracles, that states, “Miracles are everyone’s right, but purification is necessary first.”

But what does this mean in a practical context?

This means that if you really want to manifest the outcome that you deeply desire, once you focus on your desired outcome, you must expect that everything in you that isn’t in alignment with the essence of your desired outcome will start emerging in your experience. And this is the point at which most people give up because they believe they’re making mistakes or that the timing isn’t right for what they want.

So when you begin to use the Law of Attraction or some other similar method to manifest something you desire, you must expect that over time, in addition to the excitement and eagerness associated with your desire, you may also be confronted with various other energy patterns that appear as negative emotions and do not match the vibrational frequency of your desired outcome.

When you experience such unpleasant energy patterns, just remind yourself that it’s actually a natural part of the manifesting process and that your main task is to start processing them as soon as you notice their presence in your experience. That doesn’t mean that you’re doing something wrong.
